It’s Thanksgiving and there’s quite a few things cooking in the QC this weekend and of course, your favorite cultural ambassador, The Black Ferris Bueller has found some delicious cultural fixin’s for your soul! Experience the magic of this festive day at the 2019 Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade! Catch a front seat on Tryon Street as you get to witness 12 floats, 8 larger than life balloons, 7 Segwalloons, 15 marching bands and 17 performing acts! Appearances will include Miss North Carolina, the Seed and Feed Marching Abominable, the cast of Carowinds’ Winterfest, and an even appearance by Santa Claus himself! The parade kicks off at 9 a.m. and will travel along Tryon St. in Uptown.

After you’ve ate good, slide out to the city’s college neighborhood as Powered By GME invites you out to DJ Cleve’s Thanksgiving Night Bash! Bring all your family and come and get in the mix as internet sensation DJ Cleve rocks the house with a super blend of Hip Hop, R&B and Top 40 from all eras! The stage is set and it’s time to come and bob your head as you feel the energy of legendary Hip Hop group Brand Nubian performing all their biggest hits! Charlotte’s own DJ C.K. will be providing additional grooves to dance to. Presented by Charlotte Nightlife Entertainment. Digital scenery transforms this timeless story of sugarplums into 1980s Brooklyn. The Hip Hop Nutcracker celebrates love, community and the magic of New Year’s Eve.
