What’s the word family? I see we survived that brutal “snowstorm” from earlier this week, but now that the weekend is here, it’s time to shake the frost and flurries away! This evening, head over to the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art for another installment of the museum’s Modernism + Film Series. Tonight’s feature is the documentary, “Frei Otto – Spanning the Future.” This film takes a look at the incredible life and work of Frei Otto. As an architect and engineer he laid the foundation for contemporary lightweight architecture, and his ideas are still awe inspiring decades after he revealed them. This fact was cemented when he was named the 2015 Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize. Back in September 2017, Vernisha Crawford, Miss Black Charlotte 2017 and an amazing team of volunteers hosted the very first Miss All Natural Pageant. There were 7 young ladies who went through 12 weeks of training and preparation to present to the world their best selves by showcasing their skills, talents, and knowledge.
