Charlotte, NC – Sept. 15, 2022 – As Charlotte continues to see rapid growth in women relocating to the area, the lens of financial inequality becomes more evident. According to the 2021 Bloomberg Wealth Study, only half of affluent female investors feel they are meeting financial goals, and they are less confident in their investments than men.
Truist and Pride Magazine will present the Women & Money- Strategies for Generating Wealth Summit on Oct. 15 at Johnson C. Smith University’s New Science Building. The summit will provide information and resources to support women as they begin to take a deeper dive into the landscape of their finances and wealth. Attendees will gain invaluable information on wealth generation topics such as leveraging home ownership, better budgeting habits, stock market basics, debt elimination and more.
“It’s truly an honor to have Truist take the lead and present this important summit to our community,” said Dee Dixon, CEO of Pride Magazine. “Women, especially black women, are grossly deprived in many situations where money and finance are concerned and we’re all working hard to change that.”
Kimberly Moore-Wright, chief teammate officer and head of enterprise diversity at Truist, will serve as one of the keynote speakers at the event.
“Our communities and the trajectory of our lives depend heavily on understanding how money and wealth work together,” said Moore-Wright. “Financial knowledge can be a powerful change agent to achieve both immediate and life goals. At Truist, we’re committed to providing education and expertise that can inspire women and help them build better lives.”
Attendees at this free summit will enjoy a complimentary breakfast, engage with Truist teammates, network with other attendees, learn from high-level financial presentations and have the opportunity to receive door prizes.
