Maynard and Ogbar lead UNC Charlotte’s student EMS initiative

UNC Charlotte students push for a student-led EMS program, citing improved campus safety and fast response times. CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A group of UNC Charlotte students is pushing to create a student-led emergency medical services (EMS) program on campus. The initiative, led by students Nick Maynard and Davida Ogbar, aims to improve emergency response times and overall campus safety by establishing an EMT basic rescue squad staffed entirely by certified student volunteers, the students have been collecting signatures from those who support the initiative so far they have over 500 surpassing the number they we’re expecting to have at this time. …
