Fifty women in N.C., including many from the Charlotte area region were recognized on Sunday,
July 14 th , 2024, at The Pine, a new event venue located in the NODA area. The KNOW Women, a
media company that highlights female leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs across the U.S.
and Canada hosted this gala and recognized the ladies at the Black-Tie Reveal event.
The women recognized are from all different backgrounds, walks of life, and are leaders in their
respective industries. They were selected for being high achievers who create community
impact and support other women. Prior to the reveal, the ladies were nominated and went
through a selection process that included an interview with members from the selection
committee. The panel of judges included eight women who were looking for individuals that
showed passion and resilience as well as championed the significance of this recognition.
On July 14, 2024, honorees and guests walked past a Rolls-Royce showing and toward the red
carpet to enter the lively atmosphere. The welcome reception included live music and different photo op stations as attendants mingled with one another before the program portion of the event began. Guests were then seated at the main stage area where they enjoyed dinner and
the program. Each woman was called to walk the stage to receive their recognition as well as
their personal copy of the Women to Know in North Carolina hardcover publication.
The Women to Know in North Carolina hardcover publication features a two-page spread on
each woman that includes a professional photo of each individual as well as an interview with
each. The book includes each woman’s response about who they are influenced by, how they
support future female leaders, what women empowerment means to them, and the best
advice they’ve received. It also includes a short bio on each of these women leaders as well as
how to connect with them.
The evening closed with a DJ and continued celebration among honorees and guests. Part of the proceeds from this private, invite-only ticketed event goes to KNOW Cares, the KNOW
Women non-profit that offers grants to Women Owned Businesses. Proceeds from this event go directly towards the “Boost your Business Grant Giveaway” which will be awarded to a woman-owned business at KNOW Women’s upcoming FOCU$ED Conference to take place in Charlotte.
