This Sunday afternoon, join Mr. Felix Curtis at The Gantt Center as he hosts Classic Black Cinema Series screening of “Lying Lips”. This 1939 release from groundbreaking filmmaker Oscar Micheaux centers around a nightclub singer whom refuses to “date” customers. As a result, she’s framed for the murder of her aunt, convicted of the killing and sent to prison. However, her friend, who is a police detective, doesn’t believe she did it and sets out to prove her innocence. The film screening is FREE with film admission.
